Technical Manager – Laboratory & Materials – Caribbean
Overview
A Technical Manager is required by a main contractor to run and work in their Laboratory / Materials Testing facility in Bahamas, Caribbean.
Our Client
Ping International Recruitment are working with a large main contractor who are looking to add an experienced Technical Manager to run their lab and materials division. Our client have an outstanding reputation in the region for civils construction and have top of the range testing and laboratory facilities.
The Role
The role will lead and run the laboratory and the materials dept and will encompass testing and mix designs on asphalt, concrete and other aggregates. The role will report to the Managing Director and will require the successful person to be based in the laboratory and liaising with the lab and materials teams.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills:
·At least 10 years experience of running laboratories
·Minimum of 5 years overseas contracts is essential
·Current clean driving licence
·Degree qualified is desirable but not compulsory
·Good English skills both verbal and written
·Self reliance and flexibility with a hands on approach
·Technical competence and expertise in concrete, asphalt, soils and aggregates
·A proven track record
·Good knowledge of International Standards ASTM, AASHTO, BS and EN
·Computer literate
The Salary
The role is available immediately and paying a NET salary of around USD $10k per month plus housing, transport, flights and insurances.
