Resident Engineer – Rail – Tanzania

A large International consulting business requires an experienced engineer to work on a large rail project based in Tanzania.

Ping International Recruitment are working with a leading consulting engineering firm to assist with the search and selection of a Resident Engineer for their large railway project in Tanzania. Our client is known as a leading consulting firm and work on some of the largest projects in the GCC, Africa and Asia. They are a diverse team and employ over 9000 people throughout the world.
The role
The position available is a Resident Engineer role that will lead an engineering team on a very large rail project in Tanzania. The role will include supervision of and issuing of instructions to the contractor and to report regularly to the Consulting Project Management team and the end client.
The ideal candidate will have
– Experience working in Africa
– Degree qualified engineer
– Chartered engineer
– Employment background with large consulting businesses
– 15 years experience in railway, infrastructure and design management
– Worked on 3 previous rail projects in their career
– Experienced Resident Engineer
The salary / package
The salary offered is negotiable depending on the candidate, however a monthly NET figure of $10,000 USD plus housing, transport, flight allowance $3000 (annually) plus further fringe benefits is achieveable.
