Marine Engineer- Caribbean – Remote Project

Overview

A Marine Engineer is required in the Caribbean for a remote and challenging project based in the island of Monserrat. 

Our Client

Ping International Recruitment are partnered with a leading marine and civils contractor who are one of the largest businesses in the region. The project is a challenging port and marina development worth around $150 Million USD. Our client are the main contractor on the project and are involved in both the design and construction of the project. 

The role

The role available is a marine engineer role and will work as part of the on-site engineering team to help with the technical delivery of the project. The role will report into the Project Director on site and work with the site construction teams and head office teams to help with the design and construction of the project. Experience with large marine projects including work with cranes and caissons would be a strong advantage for this role.

The ideal candidate will have

– Experienced civil engineer
– Strong civils or marine project background
– BSc Quantity Surveying
– Strong experience in marine works especially caissons and crane / lifting works
– Stable background with main contractors 
– Happy to work as part of a small but strong team and bring a positive work ethic
– Happy to work on a remote island 
– Happy to work on a 8 week on 2 week off rotation

The salary / package

The role is paying a NET annual package of around $65-70k USD per annum plus housing, transport, flight allowance and a rotation of 8 weeks on 2 weeks off plus all insurances.
